I’ve not seen The Haunting In Connecticut yet, but I’ll sure check it out when hits DVD this July 14th. It appears that film has been so successful, it’s getting a sequel, sort of. Gold Circle Films is planning to start shooting The Haunting In Georgia this September (in Canada? apparently the real Georgia is not good enough, or just too expensive, or still too cluttered from all the Reconstruction).
Both of these Haunting films are based on true stories and have been documented on television by the Discovery Channel. I happened upon these two documentaries a few years back, and if you’ve not seen them, you should treat yourself and seek them out. They are better than a lot of stuff that passes for motion picture entertainment.
Believe it or not, these two documentaries are very good. The DVD’s could have used a little editing, but all that aside, I’m happy to have them in my collection. The first time I watched them it was late at night, and I found them by complete accident replaying on TLC, The Learning Channel. I’m not ashamed to admit, they gave me and my cat the creeps. Especially when we heard something rattle in the kitchen, my cat leaped into my arms before I had a chance to leap into her’s.
Anyways, try some, buy some. If The Haunting In Connecticut, or even the soon to be filmed Georgia, are half as good as the docs they spring from, I’ll be well pleased. I can’t wait to find out.
