LITERAL REMAINS

It’s just occurred to me I’ve never really given any of you a proper greeting.  So, from Literal Remains, hello and welcome to our humble site.  We’re glad you stopped by.  As Count Dracula said, “Enter, and leave some of the happiness that you bring.”

Don’t worry, I’m not going to suck your blood.  Yet.

You may be wondering what this whole site is about.  I myself have wondered what Literal Remains is; I’m still trying to figure that out, trying to discover the true intentions here, the true direction.  We have a lot of horror on this site, movies, books, and such and so forth.  I love horror.  But I hope Literal Remains can become much more than a genre site, or genre oriented.  As our slogan up top says, ‘expect something other.’

For instance, the stories, the pieces of original short fiction that are posted here.  Not all of them are horror, or true horror.  But as my boss, the wonderful and brilliant, KatieBella told me when we started this thing, “They aren’t genre, but they’re different.”

I think that’s what we’re aiming for here.  Different.  I don’t think I, or we (go KatieBella, go), are trying to have some true insight into anything, we’re just wanting to have fun.  We want to open some lines of communication, promote discussion, bridge some distance between people who like speculative works, and who like Different.

I never really know what I’m going to post here.  I’ll be posting some more news from the world of ‘horrortainment’, more reviews, more God only knows what.  More original short stories (and maybe something a tad lengthier soon), and anything else that pops into my fragile little mind.  Share with us, tell us what you like, what you don’t.  We’re still learning, still growing.  Lets learn together on this here shindig.
