LITERAL REMAINS

If I receive a lot of grief for this, I’ll take it.  I’ll endure.  I’ll survive.  I proclaim it here, I say it loud and proud- I liked House of the Dead II.  The movie, not the game (though the game series does rock).  I thought it was a decent movie, and much better than its predecessor.  Maybe that’s because Uwe Boll had nothing to do with this flick.  Although, in regards to House of the Dead Part the First, I thought it had some good moments in it.  Some.

HotD II isn’t a milestone in filmmaking.  It doesn’t reinvent the wheel.  But I think that given the budget, and what the filmmakers had to work with, I believe they made a decent, solid, straight-to-video, B-movie, zombie T&A, shoot’em up.  It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.  I think it goes down nice and easy, though.

There’s just something about it, you know, it’s just fun.  Storming the campus, killing coed undead.  BANG BANG BANG!  I’ve stated my fondness for this movie before and people have looked at me like I have leprosy or that my very presence will bring down a plague of locusts on their crops.  I think it’s a good time.  Better than Blindness, I’ll tell ya that.

I like it.  I own up to it.
