alien20modelI heard about this a few days ago but wanted to wait until I knew something for sure.  Tony Scott, yeah, that one, brother of Ridley Scott, has confirmed in an interview with Collider that there will be another Alien movie.  The plan is to reboot the franchise with a prequel.  Again, no remakey, it be a prequel.  I don’t know if that’s good or bad.  You know, I love the Alien just as much as I do the Predator.  I love Jason, and Michael, and Freddy, and Pinhead, really I do.  But why all the remakes and reboots and prequels and rehashes?  It’s for the money, I know, I know.  But come on, what’s happened to originality?  What happened to new?  Give us some new characters, some new horror heroes and icons, and lets let the horror forefathers rest a little.
